| Background: |

| Northampton Borough Council was one of the first authorities within the Country to commence kerbside collections. We operate our own MRF (materials reclamation facility). The post is based at our Depot in Northampton and will give the opportunity for a completely hands on experience. We have our own promotional trailer and working with the Northamptonshire Waste Partnership (partnership made up of all the districts and county council within Northamptonshire) have a dedicated education team with whom the post holder would be expected to liaise and work closely with as well as undertaking our own initiatives. | ||

| To develop and promote the 3 R’s (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) within Northampton and working with other Districts within Northamptonshire, voluntary sector and community organisations and to develop project work which has already been initiated. | ||
