We have been impressed with the approach StudentForce have taken in the Regional LCLIP project, providing professional support to the Councils throughout the process and developing and shaping the roles of the graduates. |
|
This project allowed me to gain invaluable skills
and experience of working with climate change initiatives in local
government, all with the advantage of support and personal development
from StudentForce.
They have played a significant role in developing this pioneering project, and are why it has been so successful. Ben Hunt |
Researching recent past extreme weather events and their consequences for the locality using local media articles. Using analytical skills to identify extreme weather events and the hidden costs that are incurred because of them. Interviewing key personnel within the council to discover the impact weather events had on their operations. |
The high calibre of all of the nine graduates chosen by StudentForce can be seen in their commitment and enthusiasm, and are all a credit to the project. Derby City Council are pleased
to be part of such an innovative project, and with the help of
StudentForce have been able to achieve a great deal towards National
Indicator 188 in such a short time. Andy Hills |

My time in Waste Management at the council has given me an excellent insight into the sector as well as the workings of a Local Authority. StudentForce has given me a real foot up and I would recommend it so any graduates looking to gain valuable work experience.

Thanks to the positive attitude and efficient work ethic of our project workers we have dramatically improved the service at our recycling centres and generated significant cost savings on our waste disposal budget.
